Benjamin Pallone
Benjamin Pallone graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Pallone began pursuing computer science and was offered a position as a teaching assistant with the Management Information Systems Department at the University of Central Florida. During his time as a teaching assistant, Mr. Pallone instructed students on basic computer programming concepts during designated lab sessions.
When the University of Central Florida decided to eliminate the Management Information Systems department due to budget constraints, Mr. Pallone decided to turn his attention to the law, and was admitted to the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables. During his time in law school, Mr. Pallone interned for a small criminal defense firm in Coral Gables, assisting in a variety of cases, from DUI to murder. Mr. Pallone then went on to a judicial internship with two judges from Florida’s eleventh judicial circuit in Miami-Dade County. During this time Mr. Pallone performed research and drafted legal memoranda and court orders within the family and complex business litigation divisions. This experience allowed Mr. Pallone to see the courtroom from the perspective of the judiciary, a perspective which has proven invaluable in advocating for his clients.
After graduating from the University of Miami and passing the Bar examination, Mr. Pallone moved to central Florida to practice law in the area in which he grew up. Mr. Pallone began his legal career as an associate attorney with the Law Office of David A. Webster, a criminal defense firm located in Seminole County. After seven years with the firm, during which Mr. Pallone litigated criminal cases in multiple counties throughout the state, Mr. Pallone accepted a position with the Law Office of Matthews R. Bark in order to continue his advocacy of those facing criminal charges.
Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote that “[t]he good lawyer is not the man who has an eye to every side and angle of contingency, and qualifies all his qualifications, but who throws himself on your part so heartily, that he can get you out of a scrape.” This is where I believe the foundation for successful advocacy exists. Without the passion to defend those in need, even the sharpest of arguments are doomed to fail. I believe that a person’s willingness to entrust you with the defense of their freedom is a privilege and not something to be taken lightly.
